Raju Weds Rambai OTT Release: Blockbuster Rural Love Story to Stream With Extra Scenes

Although small films sometimes have the greatest impact, Raju Weds Rambai is a case in point. The rural romantic drama, which was made with an extremely low budget of just ₹2.5 crores, managed to surprise the film industry with its global earnings of over ₹22 crores. The film, which was characterized by its humor and emotional storytelling, is now setting the stage for its OTT release, which has become a much-awaited event after delighting the viewers in theatres.

OTT Platform and Streaming Date

The Telugu film Raju Weds Rambai released on November 21, has been set to be streamed on the well-renowned OTT platform ETV Win in Telugu. From December 18, the film will be open for digital streaming thereby providing the audience with a new way of experiencing it.

Story at a Glance

Taking place in a village that separates the districts of Warangal and Khammam, the movie depicts Raju (Akhil), an honest and simple band player, and Rambai (Tejaswi Rao), who chooses him as her love interest because of his honesty. The conflict begins when Rambai’s father Venkanna demands that his daughter marry a government employee, thus turning down Raju on grounds of his poor background. The narrative follows Raju as he battles with social obstacles, village politics, and customs to eventually gain the love of the one he loves.

Cast, Crew and Success

Venu Udugula, who is recognized for his previous work Virata Parvam, has directed the film while it has been produced by Rahul Mopidevi and supported by the remarkable acting of Chaitu Jonnalagadda and Janitha Chowdhury. The movie which initially had a small-scale theatrical release, soon became a sleeper hit with its rapid growth driven by the positive word of mouth.
